Small yard no problem!!
Having a small backyard doesn't mean you have to miss out on the fun and relaxation of owning a pool. With an above ground pool, you can create your own backyard oasis even in limited space. I say if you can fit a floaty in the pool it is perfect size to relax on a hot summer day.
1. Choosing the Right Size:
When selecting an above ground pool for your small backyard, size matters. Opt for a compact pool that fits well within your available space. Consider the dimensions and shape that will work best for your backyard layout. We went with a round pool they have oval, and rectangle as well. I chose a 14-foot pool. I was concerned that 42" deep wasn't going to be deep enough, but it was actually perfect. It fit 3 big floaties comfortably.
This is the pool we chose for our backyard.2. Utilize Vertical Space:
With limited horizontal space, make use of the vertical space in your small backyard. Install a raised deck or platform around your above ground pool to create a functional and stylish area for lounging and entertaining. This not only maximizes space but also adds a touch of elegance to your backyard. There are many temporary options if you live somewhere pool season is only a few months.
3. Landscaping and Privacy:
Enhance the ambiance of your small backyard by incorporating landscaping elements around your above ground pool. Use potted plants, shrubs, or trellises to create a green and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, consider adding privacy screens or fencing to make your pool area feel more secluded and intimate.
4. Multi-functional Features:
Make the most of your limited space by incorporating multi-functional features into your above ground pool setup. Consider adding a poolside bar or seating area that can serve as both a relaxation spot and an entertainment space. This way, you can enjoy the pool during the day and host gatherings in the evenings.
5. Storage Solutions:
In a small backyard, storage can be a challenge. Look for creative storage solutions to keep your pool accessories and supplies organized. Utilize storage benches, deck boxes, or wall-mounted hooks to keep everything neat and tidy without taking up valuable space. With the pool I chose I put the pool noodles in between the legs and pool, worked perfectly.
Having a small backyard doesn't mean you have to sacrifice the joy of having a pool. With an above ground pool and some creative planning, you can transform your limited space into a refreshing oasis. Embrace the possibilities and start making a splash in your small backyard today!
Remember, safety should always be a priority when it comes to pool ownership. Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and supervision to keep everyone safe while enjoying your above ground pool. Happy swimming! 🏊♀
